What does this tool do?
This tool is to help a coach or choreographer when creating their routine.
What is a BPM?

BPM stands for Beats Per Minute. It means the amount of music beats you hear within a minute. An easy way to understand is take a song and listen for 15 seconds. Within those 15 seconds count the beats you hear. Take that number and multiply by 4 and you can roughly calculate the BPM for a song.

Cheerleading mixes can vary in BPMs (depending on your team's skill level. To enhance a section of competition music or for crowd appeal, BPMs can even change throughout a routine.

How do I use the tool?
  • Slide (or enter) the amount of time for a clip of music.
  • Next, slide (or enter) the BPM amount to adjust for your team's skill level
  • As you slide the bars you can see the 8 counts change
  • Click "Generate..." and a pop-up window will generate your customized sheet for that music piece
  • You can generate as many sheets as you need for different sections of your routine music.
I cannot see the 8-count sheet after I hit the generate button?
You may have pop-up windows turned off. This is very common due to the amount of spam generated on internet these days. You'll want to allow pop-ups in order to see the sheet. We generate the customized sheet into a seperate pop-window for easy printing purposes.
What do I do with the 8-count sheet?
  • Anything you want.
  • It can help you understand what you can fit into your routine with the varying time constraints between cheer companies.
  • You can use it to help plan out your routine and fax it to us so we understand where you want to go with your music.
  • If you know your BPMs will know exactly how many 8-counts you have to pack in an exciting, winning competition routine!
